The Lutheran Laymen's League booth at the 2009 Kansas State Fair provided an opportunity
for the booth volunteers to witness to the crowds through their conversation, Christian
theme prizes that were provided for the children, Lutheran literature that was distributed,
and overall presence.
Hundreds of visitors to the booth registered for a religious picture.
Those who registered represented every corner of Kansas and numerous other midwestern states.
Volunters from eight area Lutheran churches manned the booth
throughout the ten days of the Kansas State Fair. The committee extends its sincere
appreciation to all that participated as volunteers in making the 2009 Kansas State Fair LLL
booth a success.
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, Kansas, contributed $500 to partially defray
the expenses of the Kansas Lutheran Laymen's League state fair booth. Numerous other
Lutheran churches throughout the state of Kansas provided Lutheran literature and other items
for distribution.
Committee members for the Kansas Lutheran Laymen's League booth at the Kansas State Fair were
Lawrence and Irma Bullinger, Rod and Jenny Brown, Kermit and Joyce Menzies, and Mike and Teresa Tonn.
