The 2009 Family Retreat occurred at the Webster Conference Center on the north edge of Salina, Kansas from August 7 through August 9.
One hundred and twelve (112) persons attended.
Besides study of the Holy Bible and family free time, the following recreational activities
were available: wall climbing, zipline, canoeing, swimming, archery, hiking, frisbee golfing, tetherball, volley ball, basketball, horse
shoes, challenge coursed, the fly, crafts, and water balloon games.
The dormotories at the Webster Conference Center are air conditioned. Each room has four double bunk beds, a bath, and a shower for
each family.
All meals are provided during the LLL/LWML Family Retreat in the air-conditioned dining hall. There is no kitchen duty for the attendees.
Attendees of the LLL/LWML Family Retreat range from toddlers to grandparents. The LLL/LWML Family Retreat provides parents and
grandparents the opportunity to spend quality time with their children and grandchildren while enjoying the fellowship of other Lutherans.
